Dr Sherry Williams

MB BS, FFFLM, MFPHM, Barrister

Sherry has an extensive knowledge and experience of legal and regulatory aspects of healthcare. She has a particular interest in delivering innovative educational programmes providing a clear and effective focus on issues of practical importance to the audience.

Sherry spent the first six years of her career in hospital medicine and paediatrics before completing her training as a public health physician. In 1985 she joined the Medical Protection Society (MPS), and over twenty years held a number of posts including Medico-legal Adviser, Head of Medical Services and Deputy Director of Communications and Policy, setting up the adverse risk member programme before leaving MPS in 2006 to develop TWG.

In addition to her primary medical qualifications, Sherry is a Barrister and a Foundation Fellow of the Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians.
